Understanding the capital machine
The world's first analogue computer was built to understand the movement of the heavens. We built ANTIKYTHERA to understand the movement of capital.
Two thousand years ago, a bronze mechanism of interlocking gears modelled the sun, the moon and the wandering planets — decades of celestial motion, computed by hand-cut teeth. It worked because its makers respected the machinery beneath the spectacle: cycles, ratios, and the patience to measure them. That is the posture we bring to markets.
What we are
ANTIKYTHERA is an intellectual capital firm rooted in deep research and disciplined capital allocation. We study the machinery of markets and businesses — capital cycles, incentive structures, unit economics, the gearing between narrative and cash flow — to find durable opportunities before they become obvious.
We help investors and businesses navigate complex systems and allocate with clarity, combining historical perspective, technological insight, and disciplined analysis to unlock long-term value.
How we work
Everything published here is filed, not just posted. Each piece of research and every investment call is hashed the moment it goes up, chained to what came before, and anchored on infrastructure we do not control. The Verify page lets anyone audit the whole record. Conviction should be evidenced, not remembered.
Underneath the research sits The Data Layer — a canonical registry of economic and market series bound to primary publishers, with append-only vintages — so every number we publish can be traced to its source. Measurement is the discipline that keeps research honest.
The Research Desk
ANTIKYTHERA uses three purpose-built AI research agents — Frank, Tupac and Elvis — each assigned a defined analytical discipline. These agents are research tools, not human analysts. Their outputs are reviewed, challenged and approved by the Head of Research before publication.
Frank — fundamental research
Values a company the way a surveyor values a property: from the ground up. Unit economics, capital structure, cash generation, scenario-weighted valuation.
Tupac — technical analysis
Price is the record. Trend and regime, support and resistance, momentum and pattern structure, read from the price record itself.
Elvis — the equity view
Synthesises Frank's fundamental read, Tupac's technical read and the covering analyst's conclusion into one consolidated equity view.
The map is the method: a technical and a fundamental view are always formed independently, consolidated by Elvis into one equity view, and finalised by the Head of Research as the in-house ANTIKYTHERA view — which is then filed on the Research register.
